Q. What is Artisan Coffee?

Artisan coffee is coffee roasted by a roaster who trusts his senses to manage his roasting process. Instead of using an automated machine, the roaster adjusts the balance of heat, timing and airflow to release the full potential of the beans. Since beans from different regions require different attention to roasting, artisan roaster spend considerable amount of time finding the best flavor profiles of roasted beans.

Q. What is Specialty Coffee?

According to the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), coffee which scores 80 points or above on a 100-point scale is graded "specialty." Specialty coffees are grown in special and ideal climates, and are distinctive because of their full cup taste and little to no defects. The unique flavors and tastes are a result of the special characteristics and composition of the soils in which they are produced.

Q. Who is the roaster of the coffee sold at Auresso?

Auresso is the sole distributor in Malaysia for Rubra Coffee and Tea, Grand Central Premium Roasters and ONA Coffee. For more details, refer to Our Coffee page.

Q. How fresh is the coffee at Auresso?

Coffee is express shipped the next day its roasted in Australia and will arrive in Malaysia around 4 to 5 days after its roasting date. We have consistent shipment every 2 weeks to ensure only the freshest is offered to the Malaysian consumers.

Q. What is a roast date?

The date the coffee is roasted.

Q. Is the coffee sold at Auresso of type Arabica or Robusta?

All coffees sold at Auresso is 100% Arabica unless otherwise indicated in the product description page.

Q. Do i need an espresso machine to brew a cup of coffee?

Brewing using an espresso machine is just one of the ways to brew a cup of coffee. There are other brewing methods, refer to the Coffee brewing page.

Q. I run a cafe, can i custom make a blend?

Yes, we will work with you and the master roaster to create the perfect blend for your cafe. Please send us an email and we will be glad to work with you. Q. Do you stock your coffee and tea at a retail store? Not at the moment but we will be placing our products at retail store soon.

Q. What makes Auresso Coffee special?

We aim to provide the Malaysian consumer award winning freshly roasted premium Arabica coffee bean, fine teas, coffee and tea accessories all via a fully functional e-commerce website. In addition, we work with roaster who sources the beans directly. While working with the farmers closely, this promotes sustainable farming and ensuring premium price for the greens are paid to benefit the people who deserve it most.For Auresso, this means a big deal as we would like to be close to the sourcing as possible and share the journey of sourcing to our clients. 

Q. What is our shipping cost?

Peninsular Malaysia- First 1Kg at RM9, every additional 1Kg at an additional RM1. East Malaysia - First 1Kg at RM13, every additional 1Kg at an additional RM5. Shipped with GDex courier, kindly take note above cost is exclusive of Government Services & Tax (GST) and other ongoing shipping promotion.

Q. Can I come and purchase the products in person?

Sorry, for the time being we are operating only through e-commerce.

Q. How much coffee should i buy?

Ideally, you would want to buy enough coffee to last you about a week or two. Please let us know if you would like you coffee to be supplied at a regular intervals (every 2 weeks) and we will be happy to accommodate such arrangement.

Q. Should I keep my coffee in the refrigerator to keep it fresh?

All of our coffee beans are packaged in a resealable bag so you can keep it airtight. Keep the bag in your pantry or in a cool dark place. Q. Is it okay to microwave coffee to keep it warm? We prefer not. When coffee cools, its chemistry changes. Reheating the coffee will further break down the few aromatics left. The coffee will not taste as good. Our suggestion is to brew a fresh cup every time, we sell superior quality coffee so its worth the effort.

Q. Where do I check out?

You must click the "Checkout" button to check out. The button can be found at the top right of your Shopping Cart order page. This will take you to our secure checkout server.  

Q. How do I put a new item in my shopping cart?

First, choose which item you would like to buy. Some items have more than one option available, such as coffees which are available either plunger grind, espresso grind or whole bean. Make sure the correct option is selected. Click "Add to Cart" at the bottom of the product's description, after which you may then “Checkout” or continue shopping. If you want buy more than one, then type desired quantity into the Quantity box, and then click the "Update Quantity" button during the “Checkout” stage.

Q. How do I remove an item from my cart?

First, open your Shopping Cart by clicking any of the "View Shopping Cart" buttons on the right side of the page. Then, simply click "Empty Cart" button or type desired quantity into the Quantity box and click the “Update Quantity” button.

Q. How do I order more than one of an item?

Simply enter the desired quantity into the Quantity box before clicking "Update Quantity" during the “Checkout” stage. Q. I accidentally put too many in my cart. How do I reduce the quantity of an item? You could either empty your shopping cart and enter the new quantity or simply enter the new quantity and click “Update Quantity” button.

Q. Do you ship to any country other than the Malaysia?

No, we currently only ship to Malaysia.

Q. How soon will I get my order?

For coffee order, kindly refer to the Countdown time on the homepage for indication on the order deadline and tentative delivery dates. For other product orders, it will be shipped out around 4 to 5 working days provided there is available stock on hand, Otherwise, we will contact you separately via email provided.

Q. I need this right away! Do you ship express?

We ship our products via Gdex courier. For delivery within Peninsular Malaysia, the products should be received the next day of shipping. For Sabah/Sarawak, the products should be received 2 days after shipping.

Q. I haven't received my order OR my order was not correct. What do I do?

We're very sorry that your order is not perfect! Please call us at 016-2081259 or email us at enquiry@auresso.com.my and let us make it up to you.

Q. I don’t have a credit card, can I still make purchases from Auresso?

Yes, you have the option to transfer online or transfer using the cash deposit machine to our Maybank account. Please follow the instruction at checkout.

Q. What should i do in the event of any error during the payment stage?

You will receive a confirmation email after you have made your payment. However, if there is an error or you have not received the confirmation email, you may call the customer service of your credit card or the issuing bank to see if the payment went through.

Q. Will I be able to check on the delivery status of my purchase?

Yes, the tracking code for the courier of your purchase will be emailed to you.
